FAQ mobile dog grooming

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your first mobile groom.

The Mobile Grooming Experience

Do you actually come to my house?

Yes — that's the entire model. Our fully equipped grooming van pulls into your driveway and your dog gets groomed without ever leaving home. You don't need to drive anywhere.

What does the van have inside?

Our van is a full grooming studio. It has a stainless steel tub with warm water, a high-velocity dryer, a grooming table, professional tools, and all shampoos and supplies. Nothing is left out.

Is my dog the only dog in the van?

Yes. We groom one dog per appointment. There's no waiting room, no other dogs barking nearby, no kennel crates. Your dog has the groomer's full attention from start to finish.

What if my dog is anxious?

Mobile grooming was invented for anxious dogs. The familiar environment, the absence of other dogs, and the one-on-one attention dramatically reduce anxiety. We're also Fear Free certified and trained to work with anxious pets.

Booking & Scheduling

How do I book an appointment?

Fill out the form on our website or call us directly. We'll confirm availability and give you an estimated arrival window for your appointment.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Availability depends on the time of year. Spring (March–May) is our busiest season. We typically have openings within 1–2 weeks. Recurring clients get priority scheduling.

Do you do recurring appointments?

Yes, and most clients prefer them. Tell us your preferred frequency (every 4, 6, or 8 weeks) and we'll reserve a standing slot for you.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. We understand life happens, and we try to be flexible.

Pricing

How much does mobile dog grooming cost?

Pricing starts around $55 for a bath and brush and goes up based on breed, size, coat type, and service. Call or fill out our form for an exact quote — we're always upfront about pricing before booking.

Do you charge extra for coming to my house?

No drive-out fees for our core service area (Middlesex and Somerset County). The price you're quoted is all-inclusive.

Why is mobile grooming more expensive than a salon?

You're paying for one-on-one service. Your dog is the only dog being groomed. There's no waiting room time, no crate time, and the groomer's full focus is on your dog. The premium reflects that personalized, low-stress experience.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment is collected after the appointment.

Services

What's included in a full groom?

Bath, blow-dry, full haircut, nail trim and grind, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. Everything from nose to tail.

Do you groom all breeds?

Yes — we handle all dog breeds. We have experience with everything from toy breeds to giant breeds and all coat types from smooth to double-coated.

Do you handle matted coats?

Yes, but heavily matted coats take more time and may cost more. In extreme cases, the humane option is to shave the coat down and start fresh. We'll always discuss the best approach before proceeding.

Can I stay with my dog during the appointment?

We work best when we can focus on your dog. Most owners go inside during the appointment. You're welcome to check in — we'll let you know how it's going.
